    xp2500 overclocking question

i and just install a week 10/03 xp2500 and changed the multiplier from 11 to 12.5 so it runs as a xp2800 , will this damage anything ? .

one thing i have noticed is that it runs cooler than the xp2600 i just took out

what mobo do you have as some mobos let you run the cpu and ram out of sinc my a7n8x does if im running my 2500xp at 166 fsb i can run the ram at 120% which takes it to the 200mhz so if you get your cpu running at 200fsb just put the ram down to 80% which means the ram will be running at 333 ddr
also what make is your ram as some pc2700 ram can actually reach the 200fsb

Had a week 8 a while back and that ran fine at 2800 speeds but did run quite hot and wouldn't go much higher either.

a 3000xp is a multiplier of 10.5 with a 200 fsb well in my bios anyway
try running your cpu at 10x200 fsb and slacken your ram timings a bit
to see if they will take 200 fsb
