    odd temps readings on new mobo

    just installed a new mobo (gigabyte ma770-ds3) , after a few hours use i checked the temps using HWMonitor . any one got any idea what the highlighted readings are for ?

    ITE IT87 hardware monitor

    Voltage sensor 0 1.38 Volts [0x56] (CPU VCORE)
    Voltage sensor 1 2.11 Volts [0x84] (VIN1)
    Voltage sensor 2 3.31 Volts [0xCF] (+3.3V)
    Voltage sensor 3 5.08 Volts [0xBD] (+5V)
    Voltage sensor 4 11.97 Volts [0xB9] (+12V)
    Voltage sensor 5 -12.74 Volts [0xC7] (-12V)
    Voltage sensor 8 3.04 Volts [0xBE] (VBAT)
    Temperature sensor 0 38°C (100°F) [0x26] (TMPIN0) < mobo temp
    Temperature sensor 1 43°C (109°F) [0x2B] (TMPIN1) < cpu temp
    Temperature sensor 2 82°C (179°F) [0x52] (TMPIN2) < whats this reading ?
    Fan sensor 0 3013 RPM [0xE0] (FANIN0)
    Fan sensor 1 1089 RPM [0x26C] (FANIN1)
    Fan sensor 2 1218 RPM [0x22A] (FANIN2)
    it also says the highlighted temp reading in amd overdrive

    its the northbridge from a quick google, put ur hand on there and see if its really hot, may be a bios bug

    the northbridge is hot but i can just about keep my fingers on it , it does not burn me lol . i have the latest bios installed but if it is a bug should i contact gigabyte ? , but my system seems to run fine atm

    unless its constantly crashing it should be fine. i would run orthos for 24 hours just to be sure.

    because it would scare you, try everest for temp monitoring m8, that software may not be using the correct values
