Quick question, urgent :-)

Hi Guys,

Just changing the mounting for my HDT-S1283 to use the much better bolt-through 'Crossbow' setup... but the instructions don't mention just how tight I should screw the bolts down?

Is there a guideline for this? Don't want to crush my CPU (or not tighten it enough!)

finger tight, then 1/8 of a turn more should do it..

works with scooter batteries, and they're lead connectors.. workshop boss keeps mentioning this for other screwing in things aswell, and he used to build car engines from scratch..

coolbies... I think I've gone a bit beyond that But I figure the springs will stop it from tightening down too much right?

Well, I've refitted my cooler with the Crossbow mounting kit, it ain't going anywhere now!

Seem to have made a difference to, CPU temp after an hour of Prime95 is sitting on 28C with the cores sitting on 45C/45C/38C/39C... this is a stock Q6600 (G0 stepping).

Seems pretty good?
