Mobo Choice
Hi,
My Gigabyte GA-P35C-DS3R was DOA, well unhappy; so wanted another choice for my build.
Don't want to spend too much £45-55, which would people recommend (gone off Gigabyte for now)
Abit IP35-P http://www.scan.co.uk/Product.aspx?WebProductId=827895
ASUS P5K http://www.scan.co.uk/Product.aspx?WebProductId=656141
Or a Budget P43 board
MSI P43 Neo-F http://www.scan.co.uk/Product.aspx?WebProductId=833276
Want to overclock a E2180 and eventually a Q6600, when the prices come down some more
Needs space for large heatsink
No plans for RAID
Esata, Firewire etc would be nice but not a dealbreaker
doubt I will ever put more that 4gb in it
Basically want the most solid all round performer thats got a few years in it.

Re: Mobo Choice
I've had good experiences with both Abit and Asus boards, so personally I stick to them whereever possible. Between the IP35 and P5K is a flip of the coin really, whichever suites your requirements/budget the best is the one to get.

Re: Mobo Choice
Of those I would get the Asus, all solid caps etc.. and I've always had good luck with budget asus boards.

Re: Mobo Choice
I vote for the Asus P5K too. I love my P5Q, but if I had been constrained to the same budget as you the P5K is the one I would have gone for.
:rockon2: asus!
