    Question Is it possble to...

change the volume of speech in a film?. I have 5.1 surround sound on my pc but its really annoying with the effect's being so much louder than speech in the film so i have to turn it up which makes the sound effects REALLY loud. I can change this on my amp for the downstairs surround sound but i was wondering if its possible to change this via software or something on the pc?.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks.

In AC3 filter you can do this quite easily... there is a slider for voice in the settings

Can't you adjust the settings on your receiver?
There is probably a way to do it in powerdvd, but I haven't looked...

    Thanks.
If you double click your volume icon in the task bar (xp) do you get an advanced audio volume contol panel?

There should be some software as part of your sound drivers that allows you to adjust volume on different channels. You just need to bump the centre channel.
