    hey all

im not very sure on which gaming mice to buy . i wanted a bit of feed back from gamers on their prefered choice. ive been looking at the G9 i cant really find anything else that floats my boat.

are they are a safe bet or should i avoid them and think again.?

    Re: Gaming mouse

I have the Logitech MX518 and have been very pleased with it, and I'll shortly be moving up to the G5, which as far as I can tell is an incremental upgrade; tilt wheel, laser and adjustable weights being the extra features. I personally find the MX518 to be very comfortable and easy to use for long periods. There is a fair amount of debate over the adjustable DPI; I rarely use it, but you'll find others who swear by it.

However, I've no experience with the G9, so I can't really do a comparison with it.

The G9 does seem to get a very good review here:

Personally, I have not used one though.

I can't give enough praise to my Razer DeathAdder.

It is a quality mouse through and through. Good DPI, Comfy and buttons have a good feel plus the included drivers are great including macro support.

It also looks sexy as hell IMO.

I running it on one of these mouse mats and it is awesome!

    Re: Gaming mouse

i have a G9 and it is supremely comfortable (went from a microsoft standard mouse so no wonder lol ), I'd reckon any mouse that's got good reviews all around would serve you well; and if lots of people say it's good then it's probably good

    Re: Gaming mouse

    thx for the replies guys

Its allways hard making the right choice , unfourtunatly we cant test them out before buying.

I do really like the look of the G9 over the Razor series. I have a lot of Logitech stuff and it allways does what its meant to. So with that in mind I think I might go for the G9, I hope I`m not making a big mistake in performance over looks.

I will hold on a couple more days tho and do a bit more research before I commit.

    thx all for the info

    Re: Gaming mouse

CybaSnipa or similar I think. Which was pictured in the thread I'm thinking of. If you like red & black then it seems a good mouse.

    Re: Gaming mouse

I've had the Logitech MX518 which is a great mouse, and I'm using a G5 at the moment which is even better. Although the weights fall out pretty easily in mine which is annoying.

    Re: Gaming mouse

Yeah the CyberSnipa, it looked sweet with adjustable weights and stuff, but no mention of on the go dpi-swiching.

One personal reccomendation I make to any mice user, is the Allsop Metal-Art Mousemat, aside from being a deadly weapon, the standard graphite base is great for gaming, I swore by it when I used to play iGUK. I've won one, and bought two, and gave two away over the years and everyone else I know who has them swears by them still. Only slightly limited by the size (A little larger than a cheap mousemat but non-slip*.

http://www.allsop.com/mousepads-and-...mond-mouse-pad is similar, but not exact...
*correction* Not graphite, pewter, but looks sweet and responds sweeter nonetheless

I have an a4tech laser mouse, X-750BF but they have some new ones available. I moved away from logitech due to the expense of the products. I can't remember how much mine cost but it was sub £20. It does 2500dpi res too..

The Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer, it just works, and works well. It's about the only Microsoft product I can say that of.
