This is over kill right? - Thermaltake VE1000SWA

Right, not this is one of those typical "oh look how big and shiney it is!" moments.

But This case - Thermaltake VE1000SWA Mozart TX Aluminium Entertainment Tower
    http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showpr...-043-TT&tool=3

Looks awsome! I am looking for somthing for my new build and wanted somthing big with lots of space and presence like the Stacker or Armour etc. But this just seems to blow them out the water!

Someone talk me out of this Its huge and has four compartments! But I want it so bad.

Anyone own it? Or seen it? Views?

well thats basically a case for 2 systems... a full ATX and a uATX based system, with separate everythings.....

so unless your going to be putting 2 systems in it theres not much point apart from e-peen waving...

unless you want to house an amazingly expansive watercooling setup.... or get rid of lots and lots of heat...

edit: just looked it up and it takes a standard system and a secondary micro ITX system...

I find the price pretty amazing considering the sheer size of the thing, plus the build quality looks decent.

Talk you out of it? ok...

    "Do you need it?"

Looks like the kind of case you could house the ultimate water cooling solution in......rad space galore!

Lol, no i dont need it, no I wont be houseing two systems and yes there will be watercooling. But not that large.

But come on, you can see where I'm coming from. Its so big! I have been trying to think of projects for it all morning.

Cant justify it I know I wont end up buying it.

It just impressed me and the ubergeek in me went a bit crazy for all the fans and space!

if were takilng big cases i'd MUCH rather have the (IIRC) Lian Li PC-x2000 or PC-v2010...

IMHO Lian Li's in general have a much higher build quality than thermaltakes (i got peed off with my soprano DX cos of it's bad design and got a Lian Li A05, and i'm glad i did...)

Meh, no point really, it's too big unless you really need a case that will hold 2 computers.

Just get a Coolermaster Stacker 830

I just want lots of cooling and massive storage ability. Think that PC-x2000 looks awsome.

Neither the Lian-Li nor the CM can take 8x120 radiator space without taking a hacksaw to them, and even then they still wouldn't be as good.

but who has needs for that unless your going for world records/filled your system to the teeth with gtx280's and >9000 P4's???... in which case you'd be use phase cooling or liquid nitrogen etc to get even more out of it.......

Is that large enough to hold a decent watercooling set up? Pics dont seem to make the interals look that big.

Don't get me wrong, I still think it's very much an e-peni case, but for someone with plenty of money and spare time it would make a decently fun case to work on.

looks can be decieving, eeven the mini size of the A05 can take a WC setup... HERE

yeah... i suppose it's the sort of case that you can do allsorts with... but it's too big to be a feasible solution as theres going to be too much empty space inside..

but it would have decent airflow, and plenty of space for a huge WC setup, possibly and external source for multiple PC's (say a water cooled folding farm or something dodgey)

it might be big enough to accomodate a small phase system... emphasis on might...
