    Re: upgrading advice needed

PSU without question if that EzCool is what you are running.

Gaming at that resolution do you actually have any problems? You have a nice setup as it is.

If you want a new graphics card the HD4870 or Nvidia 260GTX is a good way to go but only really for high resolutions (1920 x 1200+). Maybe an HD4850 but that's not really a huge improvement on what you have.

    Re: upgrading advice needed

it would not increase the performance of my system though would it ? , i also have a problem where my gfx card moves on the back end so twice a week i have to reseat it. i think this case is a little twisted for some unknown reason , it is the only thing i can put it down to

No but it will stop it blowing up lol

You have a nice system. 3.0GHz dual core is plenty for gaming so change the GPU if you want all the eye candy

You should be able to squeeze in a hd4850 and a decent PSU with £170.

    Re: upgrading advice needed

You'll be fine with around 500W decent watts.

Something like the Corsair 650W TX would be good if you are nervous though.

    Re: upgrading advice needed

They're OK yeah. I'd personally stick to corsair (seasonic), enermax maybe FSP/OCZ but there isn't anything wrong with the coolermaster.

Don't let the door hit you on the way out..

Only kidding around but not many people are particularly fond of hiper around here.

    Re: upgrading advice needed

    i had a hiper type r 580w , it blew my last system .

i have just seen a 3870x2 going for the right money , is it worth me getting that and running it with my 3870 in crossfireX ? . or just get the 4850 (my spare crossfire mobo runs one card @ x16 or 2 x 8 , but thats an asrock mobo)
