You should be fine, I got the 550W version of that about a year ago and there's been no drama so far.

For that price, its an excellent PSU that will run all but the most power hungry systems. TBH, i seriously doubt anyone here at these forums has a Home PC that will make that PSU struggle.

The GreatPower series are rock solid.....enjoy

Re: 650w EZCool PSU vs 520VX Corsair

Well I know the list has been deleted already and there are lots of dissagreements to positions on it. I'd like to add a couple of things.

It depends on what you want to run on it. Stick a highish end graphics card in a pc and you'll often nearly double the +12v load or more. So always depends on what you want to power as to what is a good bad buy. eg the silverpower psu's are actually from Enermax if I remember correctly, they are fairly low on the +12v they are designed for workstation type pc's and not gameing machines with power hungery graphics cards.
A couple of the ones in your low catagory are used by major pc companies for the same reason, they are selected for the pc they will go in and don't have a great deal of "head room", fill up the memory slots, stick in a 2nd HD and dvd, fine, stick in a mid-high end gaming graphics card and it'll fall over.

Model matters, the reason being is that most of the "makes" on that list are not primary make but rebrands/priority of actual manufactors. eg about half the models of antec psu are made by seasonic but not all, not all corsair psu's are made by seasonic.

If you put Hiper in the low section for the reason I think you have, namely starting off produceing a couple of good PSU to make a name from them selves then knocking out bargin bin psu's and hope that people will not notice and keep buying them off the old reviews. then move XION down right next to it, as from all accounts they did near enough the same.

It will be intresting to see what will happen with OCZ and PC P&C, as OCZ psu's where made buy FSP and PC P&C made there own psu's.

PC P&C will continue to make their own PSUs, essentially they are functioning more like a company alongside OCZ rather than a merger.

also FSP isn't the only OEM that OCZ have used recently
