quick question about cpu downvolting

Hi,
i have just built a pc with a q6600 2.4, i have down volted the processor to 1.19 and it seems stable when i use prime95.
My question is , would downvolting affect its performance even though there are no errors when running prime 95?

Not if you haven't altered the clock speed downwards.

the clock speed has still remained at 2.4 ghz, nothing else in the bios has been changed, only the cpu volts
