    Question P5Q-E & Case fans

Just ordered my new system but wondered if I should replace my 3 speed case fans and run the replacements off the mobo (quieter, tidier cabling?)

Will this mobo automatically adjust the speed of the fans with its hardware or have I got to have silly programs running in Windows?

If I do replace the fans should I go for some nice quiet low power yate loons or go for higher powered ones if the board is going to reduce the fan speed for me if the temp is low?

Do you find the tri-cools too loud? You don't get a much better trade off of CFM for noise than the tri-cools in their low setting.

That said the yate loons will be quieter and come in various different speed variants. I would go for something like 1200rpm and then control with the motherboard, which almost all ASUS boards can do quite happily, yours will I'm sure.

I don't find them too loud but just thought I might get a cooler, quieter and tidier system for the sake of £12.

Doubt it will be cooler.. bit quieter and I don't find the standard fans hard to tidy.. Just plug them into a molex which is behind the mobo tray.
