On ebuyer if you have more than a certain ammount of dead pixels (depending on size/res) they will offer you an exchange, i think its more than 5 for most screens tho
If it's so important to you, why don't you buy a class I monitor instead of trying to get a cheap class II up to class I standards?
PcBuyIt offer a free 30 day "no dead pixel" guarantee - but they sell Dell monitors exclusively, unfortunately.
Aria do still offer to check for dead pixels, but you have to pay a substantial sum for the service (up to £29.95 + VAT  ) :(
Aria have bad customer service in my experience, so I wouldn't trust them... I suspect a large proportion of the people who don't pay the £35 for the pixel check will get dead pixels...
PCBuyIt is meant to be good though.
You can always just return the monitor under sale of goods act that gives you 7 days (or is it 14?) to return goods. Fair enough you would have to pay returns postage if it fell inside the acceptable dead pixel terms but I doubt it would cost £30 to do so that Aria charge to check it.
Thats the ISO limit count and is the same for all retailers, unless they offer a lower figure out of the kindness of their hearts :)
This is by far your best bet and I've done it before :)
Dell will also instantly swap out anything with a dead pixel with a simple phone call provided you have at least a 1 year on site warranty.
