Re: Mini Disc Player Recorders anyone know much about MD?

I have no choice but to use MD the music is for a reception and the system uses MD.

I think i will go for the MZ-910 which is a NetMD, there seems little point wasting money on
    a Hi-MD one

You'd better make sure you record it in the standard MD format then. Sony have some space saving alternatives that won't play in a standard MD player.

Hi there just been reading about mini discs am thinking I should have gone for MP3 now,, My problem is I am using the latest version of Sonic stage to transfer music onto my Net Mini Disc MZ-N710, it does this with no problem at all sound quality etc is excellent but when I put the disc into my stand alone system (Sony DHC-MD373 It reads the disc plays the disc but there is no sound, can anybody help and tell me (apart from the fact I shouldnt have bought a Net Mini Disc what I am doing wrong.

Re: Mini Disc Player Recorders anyone know much about MD?

When you transfer the music across, it won't work if you have it in MDLP format - MDLP is a long play format of lower quality, but the 373 isn't compatible I think.

Re: Mini Disc Player Recorders anyone know much about MD?

OOh thats a shame, the stand alone system is sony seperates I guess if I upgrade the mini disc player/recorder I would stand a better chance, any technical advice as to which one I should look out for. I really would love to play my MD on my seperate system.
One sujestion was to force the latest version of sonic stage to record my MP3's into "SP" Mode, just been looking through the Interface of Sonic stage and cant see where I change the transfer rate.
Would still be Interested to know if you could recommend a more modern Seperate for my Mini seperate system that would play back the trasfer format.
You are so good to answer my question Thankyou
