The Enermax Modu82+ PSU's are quieter than the Corsairs and there's the 425w one which would still have PLENTY of headroom with that setup. Less noise and less money.

Pretty much average price I think, certainly not bad though.

Re: New Build - Silent but deadly !!

I decided I will get a new hard disk - any suggestions on a system drive which would be fast and quiet? there are many different reviews out there so it's hard to follow current "best drive" !

I will be buying 2x "1tb drives" for storage in my server so not too much will be going on the system drive. I will eventually get SSD but for now??

Deffinatly. if you can't get hold of that teh 640GG AAKS is £50 (around £15 more than the 320GB) and is based on two 320GB single platters. A fantastic drive, well both fantastic drives.

Nothing special compared to the price of the 640GB AAKS.

Re: New Build - Silent but deadly !!

Sounds good - I see ebuyer have this one:
    Western Digital WD6400AAKS 640GB Hard Drive SATAII 7200rpm 16MB Cache - OEM
    £48.99 - cheaper than scan.

(I have to order some stuff from them anyhow - the PowerColor HD 4870 gfx card, Scythe Ninja II etc.. scan don't have these currently.)

Re: New Build - Silent but deadly !!

I bought the same motherboard (EP45-DS3). In fact my new system is similar to yours. I still have to pick up my new case this Saturday so I haven't had chance try it out yet, but it seems great. It has a better layout than the Asus P5Q series in my opinion. Apparently overclocks well, if you like that sort of thing, and I haven't seen any negative reviews. The BIOS has a lot of features, like the Asus boards. (I have no particular allegiance, my previous two motherboards where MSI and Asus.) Eight USB ports and two ethernet ports on the back is very welcome :-)
