    Flash drive Fat32 --> NTFS?

    Well i remember reading that you can do this but i was wondering what the downside is todoing this? i have an 8GB sandisk flash drive but the fat 32 folder limit is very annoying, ive had to buy some dual layer dvds because of this >.<, could it currupt the drive? would it still hold ~7GB of data?

    The only downside to putting NTFS on a USB stick is less compatibility with non-Windows machines.

    The overhead with NTFS is a bit higher than with FAT 32.
