    Xonar D1 PCI soundcard.

    http://www.asus.com/news_show.aspx?id=12237

Looks pretty much the same as the DX but on PCI. I'd have been very interested if it wasn't for the fact I've just ordered a D2.

Thats interesting becausce on Scan the DX is out of stock with them currently waiting for a ETA. Does anyone know the pricing and release date.

Whats worse is that i was about to buy the DX from Scan so i'll have to wait i guess to see which Scan get in stock first and pricing

    Re: Xonar D1 PCI soundcard.

Have found very little noticable impact on gaming fps on a dual core. suppose might be a bit more on a single core as cpu probable under more load allready. reviews seem a bit mixed on this but seem to suggest only 1 or 2 fps at most. Would buy on the fact it will sound a hell of a lot better rather than any relief it might give to the cpu. Just my opinion though.

Lovely jubbly! My motherboard only has one PCIe slot and it's taken up with an Abit AirPace. So long X-Fi!

Really interested in the this card. Not needing a power supply is a big plus for me.

    Re: Xonar D1 PCI soundcard.

I assume it will drop in price as it's a bit pointless making it more expensive than the DX (according to Scan). BTW, am I the only one who thinks PCI-E x1 devices look like they are going to topple over in the slot?
