    Talking Help o/c a xp2600 on a MSI KT6 Delta mobo...

    'ello.

I have looked at a couple of o/c threads 'cause I'm still a newbie at this.
System is Xp2600 Barton, MSI KT6 Delta mobo, 512 mb DDR ram, Geforce MX400 64mb, and M Audio Delta 44 s/card.

I have got the FSB to 186 from 166 with multiplier on auto before it won't boot. Cleared CMOS and it boots no probs.Think I need to boost the Vcore a touch to go higher...Rams running at 333mhz. Now as my cooling is rated up to Xp3200, think thats ok as well- Cpu temp runs at 49 c.
So whats the best way to go higher? I 've seen that some Xp's can get a 300/400 mhz increase. I'm not expecting that without serious cooling, but is multiplier the route to go or what? How much vcore boost? Is the Ram set ok if I boost the FSB a lot??

    Any help appreciated lots!!

    Fishmeister.

PS... Yes I know, new graphics card soon!!

Make sure your using the highest divder you can as KT600 boards don't lock the PCI/AGP bus.

Ah..... Furton do you mean multiplier when you say divider? And does that mean that there could be conflicts with the FSB speed and the AGP/PCI buss speed? Sorry well new at this ya'see. Noticed that you have an Athlon 1700 running at 2.3 Ghz. How mad is that!!

By divider I mean that number that looks like 5:1, I think you need the 6:1 divider on your mobo for 200FSB.
