Question New XP-M 2500+ could be a dissapointment?

What ya think? Anyone got one? This guy couldn't get over 2.4GHz (not that that's a bad thing though!). Seems they might not be up to what was originally though, unless this guy got a bad chip.

Anyone know what's the chances of getting a screamer of an overclocker?

the earlier chips (most of CPU City's have been week 40) are doing 2.4-2.5.
It is the week 47+ that are doing 2.6,2.7+

Quite a few places now are reporting that very few chips are getting over 2.5 (i know its not bad, but not as good as everyone thought).

    Glad i held off now

I was thinking of ordering one Wednesday... might wait now... though 2.3-2.4GHz will be a fine increase over my 1GHz!

Its a shame their not as good overclockers as people thought, I was hopping they would do 2.7ghz

Overclockers have the xp 2500 for £65 but no mention of the stepping

Well, nice to see they'll be a few quid cheaper, but they won't know the stepping yet coz they haven't got 'em yet.

Might just go for a cpucity one on wednesday, hopefully have it by the weekend then!

I'm a bit concerned they say 4-7 days for the 2500 when gibbo said they would be in tomorrow - however 5 quid cheaper makes em attractive if they are week 45+ or whatever.
