    Re: HTPC For HD

neva used novatech before... any good?
I put it in the basket and it says delivery date of weds 10th... does this mean it will be in then or do they just take a really long time for delivery.,.. i hate it wen this happens

Edit: This site says it has a restock date of 05/09/08 but it has no psu so i'm guessing this is the new version without the psu. I hope...

    Re: HTPC For HD

Sounds a tad high, but it could just be the sensor or are you running the passive ninja? Does changing the tri-cool fan speeds change anything?

    Re: HTPC For HD

I wouldn't worry about it. Try some stress testing when you can and see how that goes.

Are you sure you have the right versions of Powerdvd with the right codecs etc.. That sounds very odd.

    Re: HTPC For HD

    and so it continues
Got all of the software working, hd dvd now plays back fine and my tv tuners are all working... But guess wot... the case which i measured in terms of height does not fit under my tv because the width is about a 1cm to much to squeeze in between the tv stand posts...
So now i have 2 options:
Either start hacking at the stand and hope it doesn't collapse with the tv on top
    Or
    Get a new case
My only real option is to get a new case and that means selling the fusion at a loss... So what i need help with is which case, i'm checkin out the antec fusion 350 as it seems to be the right width and height but it only take low profile cards
I have a low profile nova t500 card which has a full size bracket
And also i have bought the scythe mini ninja but i dont know if that will fit
    HELP ME!!!!!

    Re: HTPC For HD

Does the case have little legs under it? If so, can they be removed by undoing a screw or something?

If so, you could do that, and then just sit the case on some thin bits of rubber so it doesn't vibrate.

    Re: HTPC For HD

I had the same problem with the Antec Fusion (won't fit in the glass shelf). I eventually went for the Antec Minuet, although this has since been replaced by the Antec Micro Fusion.

The Antec Minuet can be found still in stock at etailers and on eBay for a pretty good price including a PSU. The Antec Micro Fusion is better spec'd but way over priced. Both are excellent alternatives to the full size Fusion case and come in a nice piano black and silver colour.

Just remove the plate from the Nova-T and slot it in. It would be as sturdy as using the backplate but its doesn't move around. I've never had a problem doing that. The case never gets moved!

However, if you get any low profile case, which I think you are going to have to, the Mini Ninja will not fit. I bought a Hiper low profile heatsink which works great with my 4200e processor.
