whats the fastest???

hello
does anyone know what the fastest cpu i could use on my elite l7vmm motherboard please
i found some info about my board and it said it supports all athlon chips
but someone told me that it would only support a 2600+ chip max with a possible bios upgrade any help gladly welcome

best tip, SANDRA by sisoftware will answer ur probs, i cant remember the website, but the program is totaly free and it tells u exactly what u have and upgrade options!

it will probably support 266 chips, and 333. but not the lastest bartons 400mhz's without a BIOS upgrade, although it may not have an support at all

doesnt support 333 chips, fsb is 133/266. Therefore that somebody is right up to 2600+.
