Question on in car laptop charger

I have an acer laptop which is 19volts 3.5amps

I have an in car laptop charger which is rated at 150watts and at 19volts the current output is 6 amps.

Will this cause damage or will the lappy only draw what current it needs?

    Thanks

I would believe it would only draw the amperage it requires. The rating on the charger should be the maximum it can do, rather than anything else.

Re: Question on in car laptop charger

Correct, the laptop only draws as much power as it needs, your laptop will not be damaged.
