    Big ocs on 2500

    If i had a multiplier unlocked athlon 2500xp barton in a nf7-s2 could i safely raise the multiplier AND the fsb to make it run at absurd speeds or would it conk out?

    erm..well generally you won't get any bigger of an overclock. Generally people want an unlocked one so they can lower the multiplier in order to achieve an insane FSB

    raising the fsb and multi is a recipe for disaster, 11.5 maybe 12 multi max, raise the fsb anything at 200 or over is considered a high fsb.

    If you've got good enough RAM, the best oc combination is a high FSB with a multi that can take your total speed (ie. 10*220 is better than 13.5*166). Simple as that.
