32" 720p TV vs 22" LCD Monitor
Which would you use? I have a 32" HD TV on my wall which I could put on my desk instead of the 22" saving me £130.
What you think, what are the chances of this working well with a 4850 and what resolution restrictions would I have?
I know it can connect as the TV and card both have component inputs (4850 by way of included adapter).
Any advice would be grateful :)

stick with the 22" monitor, it will have a higher Res. and if sitting close the 32" will strain your eyes and neck. £130 is prob a wise investment.
the 32" tv will be 1366x768 and the 22" will probably be 1680 x 1050

Hey Guys!!! I’m a bit confused as to what LCD Monitor to buy with a budget of £421 and which brand I should go for? I’ve got LG & BenQ playing on my mind, umm… not sure.I’m looking for a LCD Monitor that can meet the following requirements:
1920 x 1200 resolutions
Picture in picture feature, where I can view video from two sources at once, i.e. from a DVD player and from PC
Should be user friendly
I came across few models from the top brands at CheckCost UK. Let me know what u guys think…

I wouldnt even consider a normal HDTV as a full replacement for a PC monitor - great for games and media, but it would be awful using the desktop and being productive...

To be exact either a Hazro if you could raise additional funds or the Dell 2407WFP (A04). The 2408WFP seems to be having issues last time I looked...
Try tftcentral for further advice...

2408wfp :) Most are coming with the revised firmware which irons on the issues you mentioned.
The TV vs Monitor thing, I would have a monitor for desktop apps and probably games. You'll probably get the best result that way and sitting up close to a 30"+ screen will be an aquired taste, especially when the resolution is low.

You should check the BenQ G2400W or the E-Series (E2200HDA) which will be launched soon. They are Full HD 16:9 which is especially cool for watching movies, e.g. no black bars .

Aswell as the lower res you would need to check the response time of the 32" TV, if its a cheap one it'll be slow and that may show up in games. Plus not sure if I could handle looking at a 32" screen from 2 feet away.
