Quite a nice spec, is it a business laptop you are after and do you want it soon?

    Re: new latitude laptop specs

im shopping for a laptop to be used purely as a DAW, so business is not essential. i just found i could get better specs for the things i needed in business without all the frills. and yer i need to get it ordered because id rather like it to arrive before i head back to uni.

    Re: new latitude laptop specs

Well it's certainly nice looking and seems to be well built..light etc..

There are alternatives which offer a lot of spec for the money

    Re: new latitude laptop specs

i had a look at those but couldnt really find what i wanted within budget. im after some rather specific features ie 7200rpm drive and hi res screen (need to cram as much cubase on there as possible!) also quite like the idea of having a little more bandwidth from the RAM and Fsb.
can't find much info on these new latitudes, would have thought there would be more detailed reviews etc.

    thanks for your advice!

    Re: new latitude laptop specs

They were only released this week so you won't find much tbh.

You can get a 1440 x 900 screen on the studio with an LED backlight which makes the already good truelife screens even better

If you want a crazy resolution the XPS M1530 goes up to 1920 x 1200

The latitudes will be good though I think.

Also the best thing to do with dells if get the cheapest ram and HDD and then upgrade them yourself, doesn't void the warranty and turns out a lot cheaper.
