Intel Q9400 or 9450?

I've been looking at Scan's site for quad core CPU's, and came across the Q9400 CPU (2.66GHZ). However, putting this into google, looking for reviews, yielded no results. However, changing the entry to "Q9450" brought up plenty of reviews. Although, it appears to be the same CPU, as it also runs at 2.66GHz. Is the "Q9400" simply a naming mistake by Scan?

The Q9400 is the same as the Q9450 but has half the L2 cache, 6MB vs 12MB, how much this affects performance is unknown, yet. It's a new CPU so we'll have to wait for the reviews to roll in.

Never heard of a Q9400 myself seems to be a new one with half cache.

It seems the Q9400 does exists.

From what I can see the Q9400 has 6mb L2 cache whereas the Q9450 has 12mb.

The Q9400 was introduced a few weeks ago at the same price point ($266 per 1000) as the Q9300 (which I believe is being dropped) and replaces the Q9450. That left room for a price cut on the Q9550 to replace the Q9450 at the $316 price point. The Q9400 is indeed the same as the Q9450 was but with half the cache.
