Desperately Need Drivers for a Compaq Presario R4000

My sister has a Compaq Presario R4000, but has mislaid the disk.

I went to the Compaq site, to download all device drivers before I started to format. Not one link worked. Nice! Googled the device names instead and got all correct drivers...or so i thought.

Formatted...fine
ATi xpress drivers went on fine
Conexant AC-Link Audio drivers - failed
Realtek RTL8139/810x driver - nope

So, I'm in a bit of bother. Got a half working laptop and when she gets back from college, Im dead meat. I've obviously googled the hell out of ...ermm google. Cant find anything, everything leads back to the POS HP/Compaq site. Im just going to PC World now in the hope they can somehow get me a disk (as thats place of purchase) but im expecting no help at all.

Hopefully someone has this laptop and/or the CD and can save my skin?

they came down fine using ff so may have been a temporary prob with the site

Compaq Presario R4000 Notebook comes with windows xp. If you have windows xp sp3, try to install, it will comes with all drivers default. other wise try to go to Hp.com to get all drivers.

Is diffcult to find notebook drivers in hp.com. Because is has all laptop drivers. If you need Compaq Presario R4000 display drivers try below links:

Welcome to Hexus. The drivers should be on the disk that came with your PC if they are not downloaded with teh service pack.
