    Shuttles!

Last june, i had a shuttle.. was a P4 model (i forget which), coupled with a P4 3ghz 'C' processor, also had 1 gb of Corsair Twinx, and a Radeon 9700 Pro.. oh yea, CDRW and a 200gb WD!

So, then as you can see i had more money than sense. I sold all that in october so i could get my Prometia Rig. Got the Prometia, nice temps and all, but then sold that in December So, now im back to one computer and a laptop

Well, now i still have money but i also got some sense I want a new shuttle, but im not going to spend daft amounts of cash on it. Probably no more than 3 to 400 of our earth pounds!

The hard drive i already have, as well as a 64meg VGA card that will keep me going for now. So i only need Shuttle, Processor, Memory and CDRW drive. CDRW drives are £30 now, so that's nowt.

Anyway, looking on MD's site, i can get a SN45g + Barton Core 2600 for just under £200. Does this sound like a good deal? Havent looked at the memory yet, but it will probably be 1gb of Twinmoss for about £100 or so... Not looked so guessing on the price. I wouldnt mind SATA with it, but i cant get one of those and a Processor for under £200.

How does an SN45G+barton 2800+, + 1gb dual channel PC3200 RAM, + dvd/cdrw combo drive for £367 sound? (the shuttle and CPU come to £215 which i think is a pretty reasonable price )

Now that, there is a good deal! I never even thought of getting a faster processor, i just guessed faster = more heat... the less heat the better in my eyes?

But now, i've got to thinking... if i span me buying this over 2 months instead of 1, i can get an SB61g2 this month, and next month get the 3.2c P4 chip... Which would be nice!!

as for tax! Good god man, as the other dood said, the UK people get screwed regularly on Computer stuff, so unfair living over here!
