    New build opinions

Right, i'm about ready to order the last of the bits i need, so just want to see what peoples opinions are on the spec i've gone for.

Only two things i'm not sure about is the mobo and HD below...

I'm re-using my GFX and i already have the PSU/CPU Cooler.

Asus P5Q Pro OR Asus P5Q-E
    Corsair HX 620W Modular PSU
    Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600
    Arctic Freezer 7 Pro
    4GB OCZ DDR2 PC2-8500 Reaper Memory
    500GB Seagate 32mb Cache OR 640GB WD6400AAKS 16MB Cache
    XFX 640MB GeForce 8800GTS
    Pioneer DVR215 DVDRW
MS Windows Vista Home Premium 64BIT

    Cheers..

    Re: New build opinions

I'd probably go for the P5Q-E, no real reason as the PRO will probably do everything you want.

640GB AAKS without question, it's far superior in every way I'm sure

    You don't need PC8500 RAM it's wasted on a Q6600 just get PC6400.

^^ that, and i'd get a better new cooler... they're only ~£20 (for a xigmatek) and it would help you get the best out of it..

something like the xigmatek or scythe ninja/mine or TRUE

I'll probably keep the cooler for a bit then change it, cheers

What memory would you recommend in replacement? Needs to be 4GB though!

Anything branded will be fine though. Don't worry too much about latency.. it has next to no effect on performance with Core 2's.
