nice one dude, thanks for taking the plunge and reporting back
Yea, nice one mate.
Thats strange...just check ebuyer and the drive I got says this:
Sorry, this product is now discontinued and is no longer available for sale on the Ebuyer.com website.

Why would it be discontinued? I just got mine yesterday
AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!! What a frickin let down!
How I delete a thanks you hurtful son of a bi....
Only joking. Well nevermind at least you got one. That's one person we havn't screwed over telling them to get a 320GB drive on the premise that it was actually very fast
Lol, I'm gettin out of here
edit: I checked yesterday and it was still there. Why did they discontinue it?
I have been told that Overclockers have them in stock!!
I received two "WD Caviar SE16" 320GB drives from eBuyer today, and they are NOT the 00B3A0 version. They are marked "WD3200AAKS-22B3A0 date 28 JUL 2008".
Does anyone know about this 22B3A0 version and whether it has a single or double platter? Also does the "SE16" mean 16MB cache?
Thanks for any help.
I now realise the model number confirms 16MB.
Also obviously "22B3A0" is very similar to "00B3A0", so hopefully it is single platter too.

google has surprisingly litte info. there's only one thread on the interenets about the 22B3A0, and while the results arent hopeful the guy that ran the test is an idiot and shouldn't be trusted totally
