Gaming Mouse

Hi Guys,

I was wondering if people can reccomend me a mouse

I'm looking for various features, some with more points than others.

- Side buttons vertically alligned (rather than horizontal)
- Adjustable Weight
- 5 Buttons in total (Two top, Two side, one clicky scroller)
- Good price
- Adjustable DPI

Ideally, it'd have those features, but cheaper lol. I can scarfice DPI switching and the LCD

P:S - Anyone actually have this? Whats it like?

It's the verticle thumb buttons which are hard to come by. I can't think of any others with that feature.

Just at Omega sector they use Razers which I find it near impossible chuck a smoke grenade down on COD4 without nading a nearby car, resulting in a virtual me-bomb.

I'll just have to ask on for sale to find one cheaper

I know this mouse isnt exactly 100% what you want but the saitek cyborg is a brilliant mouse, loads of buttons as it has a D pad which is new to me but very handy in fps etc as you can change gun really quick, has another 3 buttons including 1 thumb button. I did a review on it somewhere, ill try and dig it up for you, the price on this mouse isnt bad either and feels nice with the coating on it(not sure what coating, sorry). Has 3200DPI, average weight and the only downside so far is the fat cable, you will need to spend a few minutes sorting it out but once you done that its great with the nice feet so it glides also has 3 settings for scroll wheel resistance and a mode button which can change dpi and switch between certain key mappings.

I suggest the Logitech G5 (2007 2-side button Blue/black reissue); I love this thing. Make sure you get the one with two thumb buttons (the blue/black one) and not the older one with just one. It has all the features you mentioned: adjustable weight and DPI, 5-buttons, etc. The only thing it doesn't do is have the side buttons aligned vertically, they're horizonal (personally, I like this better, but ot each his own). And it should be cheaper than the Sidewinder.

You might give it a look.

You could look at the Zalman FPSGUN FG-1000. It's probably not to everyone's taste and I don't think the weight is adjustable but it should conform to the rest of your spec

I bought it, looks good but it is terrible for gaming...
Now I bought a Razer Coperhead to replace it <3

That's what I'm looking for. I have moohasive thumbs, (inbreeding? ) and would love to have a mouse with this feature. The MS mouse above is the only one I know of that has this.

I don't see why more companies haven't clocked onto this though tbh, as its naturally easier to move your thumb up and down rather than back to front (which is near impossible without dislocating it)

I'll just mainly be using it for grenades so I don't use the buttons that often, Just waiting for student loans now lol

My £800 build went down to £700 and back up to £820 now with accesories lol
