hello,
Will future games be more optimized for quad core rather than dual core?
Thanks!

Industrial espionage is simply the sincerest form of flattery......
I would expect that to happen.
UT3 engine scales very well with quad-core. i'm sure there should be few more titles already available.
hello,
Looking at the net, I can see that there are loads of links complaining how badly quad core performs with games. Other than UT3, are there any games that would use quad cores today?
How long do you think we'll wait before we see games which use the 4 cores?

There are a couple of games, I got one with my q6600.. supreme comander is it? Anyway they don't perform badly in games at all, just indifferent to duals of the same speed.
It's multitasking and 3D work, video encoding etc.. where you can really flex their muscles.
If your PC is souly for gaming though, you won't get any benefit from a quad.
When 4 core games come out you probably would have upgraded anyway, so you may as well buy a dual core now... That is just my opinion... I moved from a E7200 to a Q6600 and there is no noticeable difference in speed... When 4 core optimised games come out, I will probably have a nehalem system...
I think World in Conflict utilises 4 cores.

That's a good article to show both that you need not bother with anything much over 2.5GHz and the fact that anything over a 20" monitor and it's the graphics card holding you back
There are noticable differences at the low resolutions because that is where CPU's will affect things more, since decent graphics card won't even be breaking a sweat.
