    Does anyone have an idea of how long it will take to low level format a 75 GB HDD?

    Depends on the drive and how it goes about LLFing.

    I'd have guessed a couple of hours though, so I guess I would have been right, lol.
    PHP Code:
    $s = new signature();
    $s->sarcasm()->intellect()->font('Courier New')->display();

    What you guys are talking about is not Low level formating. I have to mention this every-time someone posts about formating a drive.

    Low level formating can only be done by the manufactures of the drive. Period.
