Since October I've had a Q6600 @ 3200 (1.375V) and yesterday I put it down to stock and I noticed...no difference.
I think games are becoming so GPU bound these days.

I've been saying it for ages > 2.2GHz and it makes such little difference.
Unless a game is crawling with the stock settings there is no point overclocking really.
Run Folding at home then you will see a difference in performance based on clock speed!
yeah, nowadays games (ATM) don't really use more than a ~2.4GHz dualie
but there will come a time when it needs to be horrendously fast again :)

I have down clocked my q6600 from 3.6 to 3.2, not much difference for me as well, but way better temps on the cpu now :D
