i need to get my 21" flat screen moniter to school, a 400ish mile car trip. is it best just to wrap it in a towel (i dont have the original packageing) or something and put it on top of everything?
    thanks

Anything that won't scratch the screen, over the screen. Tape it on if you can.

Then wrap it in bubble wrap, if you have made any scan orders recently you will surely have more than enough

That's how transport the screen I don't really care about lol.

I would keep it somewhere near the top though, you don't want any pressure on the screen.

Hi,something to protect Bezel, over it & screen(1 or 2 layer of thinnish bubblewrap or whatever(its Bezel your protecting. Then Plyboard or whatever(stiff),cut to size, placed over front(screen & Bezel),taped or whatever. Then all wrapped in Foam,Bubblewrap or whatever.
Make sure nothing is pushing on the screen!!!

    Cheers BOB

Place the screen upside down, towards the back of the rear seat, attach the seatbelt and wrap the top end of the belt around the monitor stand. That'll keep it secure, and there'll be a bit of clearance between the seat and the TFT.

Ideally in the orginal packing - however if you don't have that, some bubble wrap to protect the screen and bezel from scratches, then either face down against a hard surface (bottom of a car boot - but don't pile stuff on top) or stand it upright with lots of stuff round it (duvet?) to stop it moving about - or anything moving into it - particularly if you have heavy cases with it.

Re: whats the safest/easyest way to transport a moniter?

for short trips ( never transported one for a long trip ) I place it upside down on a seat with the stand facing front then use the lap part of the seat belt to secure it ( arround stand )
For a longer trip i would place plastic over the screen then bubble wrap it and fix in the same way.
Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.
