I'm lost. It's like supermarket shopping - too much choice! I need some recommendations from you gamers. What do you use and what would you use if money were no object? I'm tentatively thinking Logitech G5 and Razer Lycosa.....

I use a Logitech MX518 and a Saitek Eclipse II and am very happy with them ?
I use the Saitek Eclipse and an array of old mice.. the one that works that week usually lol
The saitek is a very nice keyboard but it doesn't have any of the finer touches of a gaming keyboard other than the backlights. So if you get along with a normal keyboard for gaming, rather than needing macro buttons and such like then the Saitek is a very good way to go. Otherwise the logitech is a fine buy.
Mouse wise, it's completly subject as to what you like to use. I actually prefer smaller, light mice and I actually prefer if they don't stay completely flat, as I find myself rolling my wrist and like the mouse to play into that.
Logitech's don't suit me for that reason. Razors are very nice though, copperhead or diamondback
I use Saitek Eclipse II and Logitech G7 (discontinued =P )
Tbh I have never really found the need to use a proper gaming keyboard as I have found that my performance in games has always been the same on this keyboard and when i play using a laptop keyboard. However backlit illuminated keys are always useful and the media keys i have found to particularly useful when playing games as i can pause the music when i am alive during css and turn it back on when im dead ^^
For playing fps a proper high end gaming mouse is a must. I have always preferred light mouses. I remember back when trying to play css my a super heavy dual AA cordless battery mouse, it was almost impossible =(
I recently went to my friends to play css with his MX Revolution and i found it too heavy.
To sum it up, just go for any good looking, well reviewed keyboard in ur budget and probably the Logitech G5 which is almost identical to my G7 =)
I have a Razer copperhead (Mouse) and a MS Reclusa (Razer designed keyboard) cant fault them really had them for a year now and they have served me very well indeed.
If I was looking for new kit my first port of call would be Razer's site to see what new and exciting toys they had for me to spend my money on
I got a Logitech G11 keyboard for my new build, largely because I used to have a Logitech kb in the past and absolutely loved it. Feels very good for my tastes, with plenty of macro buttons which are nicely located. Only small inconvenience is that the backlight is always on by default, so if I don't need it I have to switch it off every time I boot the PC.
For the mouse I use Razer Diamondback 3G, and I really like it. Apart from the double buttons on either side of the mouse, for the thumb/pinky - haven't found a proper way to use both with one finger yet.
Thanks all. After careful consideration I think I'm gonna get a Razer DeathAdder and a Belkin Nostromo N52TE SpeedPad (I haven't got much desk real-estate!), plus blue always looks nice. £79.75 the pair from ebuyer.
Love my razorback..better for the slightly smaller handed imo and nice and light.. I also use a logitech g5 but it gives me a cramp with it being so huge...
I'm looking for a decent wireless high precision mouse but can't find much of a selection. Are the Logitech G series ones the only available?
G15 and G9 here, great bits of kit.
I love my g5 I have 3 of them all gen 1 so just one side button. I have used the g9 and it was alos nice but just could not get used to it but it will probably be my next mouse and will get used to it. I use an very old very scabby and probably would be burned by environmental health time fujitsu keyboard. If you can just go somewhere that you can pick up and hold the mice. They are personal to everyone.
Poo
y did they discontinue the G7?
