Best notebook/laptop for £200 ish
Reading all these articles on the MSI wind, Asus EEE, Acer Aspire etc, It's made me want one to have a play on :P Which one is the best out of them? I am kinda confused as to what the differences are between them all, they all seem to have the standard 1.6ghz atom, 1gb ram etc. I'm kinda confused :(
EDIT: Ooops, sorry, didn't see the laptop thread. Can a lovely moderator either move/delete this and i'll have a look round there :D Sorry.

When the Linux based Dell Inspiron 9 mini (i think thats what they ended up calling it, it was released today lol) comes out that will be the best to go for.
The XP version seen here is £300 so a bit pricey but it has a fairly nice spec, similar to all the other ones really but it is SSD only (so far).
It make absolutely no noise according to the review on notebookreview, which is due to not having any fans. They say it gets warm (obviously) but not intrusively so and making no noise is great if you want it in lectures etc.. The Acer version is really quite noisey apparently.
The msi is the biggest and thus probably more comofortable to use long term, but then if it's a small and very very portable laptop you are after then it doesn't really cut it compared to the others.

The Acer Aspire One is a great little netbook and looks good aswell, alot of these netbooks are coming with 10" screens but the 8.9" on the Aspire is more than adequate. If you have a look a aspireoneuser.com there are loads of links to get you started and a great forum to help you out with any problems you might encounter.
