I rock a set of SteelSeries SteelSound 5H v2's and while they are quite expensive, their performance in games in immense (as backed up by multiple positive reviews).
If the price is a bit OTT, have a look at the cheaper 4H and 3H sets as I hear good things about those too.

The Steelsounds seems to be the best for the money (multiple awards)

I'm using a steelseries 5h headset...it's fantastic.
worth the money, i tell you that. the mic is also clear too.
