The start of the new kit arrives!!!

Well I have started the process of putting together a new system. My motherboard, cpu, memory and PS arrived today.

    Asus maximus formula 2
    q9550
    2 x 2 gig corsair ddr2 1066 with a nice little fan
    and the corsair hx1000 ps

going into my existing thermaltake kandalf lcs case.

The motherboard looks bloody impressive. I am wondering if there are any laws about have 'relations' with a motherboard!!!

Anyway will be using some older kit for HD's GFX and optical drives till I can make up my mind. Let the overclocking begin.

P.S. All ordered through scan and as usual BLOODY brilliant service.

    Dam the secret gets out!!!

Still not sure yet about the GFX side. Waiting for a bit to see what happens over the next month or so. The power supply is feckin HUGE, I struggled to get it into the space for it in the case had to remove the top mounted usb and mic stuff to get it in. All up and running nicely. Did not have time to tinker but had a look at the bios OMG I am now scared for the first time by a bios. I have never seen so many things that i can break!! I think i will be asking some more questions over the next few days. Good thing is no leeks with the water cooling. Again tho that motherboard is a work of art as the x48 must be as well.
