    Handbook

Having just got a secondhand Sony Vaio VGN-A197P laptop I could really do with the handbook.
Is there anywhere to download it?

    Cheers

    Re: Handbook

Just 197P on the end, i can only find VGN-A197VP and VGN-A197XP. I expect these to be the same as yours (if you did not miss a V or X off the model number)

    Re: Handbook

Handbook.. If it's anything like my VGN-A195HP then here's what you do.

Anything you want to upgrade, or change, is taken care of in these steps:

    1) Find every screw, including the hidden screws for the keyboard and unscrew them.

    2) Pull it apart, don't expect it to come without a fight.

    3) Hope the bits that are plastic on the inside havn't melted and or broken else there is little hope for it ever being the same when (or if) it goes back together.

    4) do the 4 second job that you wish there was easy access for..

    5) Re-assemble.. have fun

    6) Done.. if it doesn't turn on again.. repeat.

Hope that helps.. they are a pain in butt!!

    Re: Handbook

I just love the optimistic approach.
