    'nother overclocking help request

right what i'm after is a step by step guide to overclocking my pc really, dont need much detail just the steps i need to take really.

I have an Athlon2800+barton(unlocked), MSIK7N2deltaILSR (NF2 ultra), and some ocz DDR400 ram with some shiny heatsinks.

so far i have been successful with FSB overclocking - thats the easy part however i know that i cant just stick the fsb @ 200 and expect it to even boot, let along be stable. I guess i have to adjust the multiplier and voltage, but i dont know when to up or lower anything.

Anyone able to give me some help? i want to get my cpu and mem bus' in sync really so i'm aiming for 200fsb

well my 2600+ is at 200MHz FSB with a multiplier of 11. I had to raise the volts 0.25v on the vcore and put it up to 2.7v on the RAM. You just put it up until it can boot and be stable.

Yep, I recently got my 2600+ at 200 MHz FSB too, though the multiplier is now stuck at 12.5 (shame, gotta make do running it at 2.51GHz ) Pretty much did the same as KeZZeR in terms of raising the volts, although increased vcore by 0.5v.

well i got it to boot @ 200x12, with 1.8v but the problem is now heat :/ it runs @ 64 degrees under load, then freezes (most probly due to the heat)

just checking my temps shows that even when at stock i get about 60

surely this cant be the right temps..can it?

whats safe for an athlon temp wise?
