Personally, I would say spend a tiny bit more and go for the ati 4850

Well the way I see it you have the following to choose from,
9600 GT £75 http://www.ebuyer.com/product/147945
or £70 + Delivery http://www.aria.co.uk/SuperSpecials/...roductId=30589
Pre-overclocked and enhanced cooler 3870 £80 http://www.ebuyer.com/product/143111
8800 GT Alpha Dog £85 + Delivery http://www.aria.co.uk/SuperSpecials/...roductId=29566
9800 GT £95 http://www.ebuyer.com/product/148064
4850 £100 + Delivery http://www.aria.co.uk/SuperSpecials/...roductId=33455
or an Asus version £112 + Delivery http://www.aria.co.uk/SuperSpecials/...roductId=32374 or from Scan as per link in post above.
The best is the 4850 the rest probably go in price order reasonably well with the 3870 being a bit of a bargain as it is probably at least as good at the 8800GT which with delivery will come in ~£10 more. The cheaper 4850 is probably made by XpertVision but the manufacturer is not guaranteed. That is probably where I would spend my money.
The best option if you can stretch is probably what I did. I got the dual-slot Sapphire 4850 for £112 with free surge protector from SCAN over the weekend, recieved it today. Got free shipping too as I'm a regular hexus user Just get 25 posts and you can save P&P too
Its the non reference design, with custom cooler and is a retail pack so has all adapters and such you could want
Theres the 8800GT still a very good card, used at Omega Sektor and runs Crysis ok.
Or you could jump into Crossfire 4670s if you got at least a 16/8x capable board (like P5Q Pro) and an adequate PSU, which doesn't fall too far short of the 4850.

The best for under a £100 is probably the Nvidia 9800 GT.
But Its worth the little extra and go for the ATI 4850. A excellent card that will surpass the 9800GT easy.
So my vote it for ATI as well.

I saw the ATI 4850 for £99 on Aria super specials:
https://www.aria.co.uk/SuperSpecials...roductId=33455
That is probably the best card for £99.
Looks at his earlier post and goes "oh look already suggested that"
