Hi there i have an abit falal1ty FP-IN9 SLi mobo with 2x2gig of ram at 800mhz, intel pentium D dual-core 840 3.20ghz and nvidia fx4600.

I wasn't in the desktop business around the Pentium D phase but I didn't think these things had much overclocking room in them.

Double Data Rate 2 (just half the advertised speed and you get the speed... confusing aint it )

edit: can't find one (google fu has failed me )
basically (IIRC) DDR2 transfers things on rising edge pulses as well as falling edge pulses... so you effectivly get 2 times the transfer.. (i think)
so 2x400mhz gives you the 800mhz

DDR2's actual FSB is multiplied by 2.
So 400Mhz is the actual FSB and then it is multiplied by 2 so, 800MHz
