    Asus p5q-e & fans

    Hello

I'm planning on building a pc mainly for digital painting, web browsing, downloading & a bit of light gaming (Crysis, GTA IV & Mass Effect) but one of the features of the p5q-e is that it apparently controls the speed of the fans, reducing power to certain components for efficiency. If say, side/rear fan doesn't have a fan control, will the motherboard still be able to adjust the power/speed of the fan.

    Thanks in advance

Being noobish here, but what is a pwm connector? Is it something that's normally supplied with motherboards or bought seperately?

basically most if the fans u buy have 3 connectors then i dont think the motherboard can control the speed however if it has four connectors then the fourth one is a pwm connector... i think... or have i got it terribly wrong
