    Exclamation Xbox 360 RROD Guides

Well finally my original Xbox 360 has topped itself now because I'm quite a hands on guy I wanted too know if anyone has successfully fixed a RROD of there own and if so what guide they used, preferable one with pictures. Now I've had it apart once before so I know how to do that part I just don't know the rest. So I wanted to know weather I should:

    1. Have a good attempt and fixing it myself.
    2. Buy a new Xbox 360
    3. Buy a new Guarantee Sticker and hope Microsoft take it back and send me a new one.

I did read of one guy takign the board out of his 360 and putting it in the oven, the heat melted the solder enough for the bad connections to essentially resolder themselves, the only thing he didnt do was remove all of the plastic standoffs on the board which I'm guessing made it a bit harder to put back together

    That was me

It works, 232 degrees approx for 18 mins approx, but you need to do the x-clamps replacement too. Unfortunately, it didn't last, and I had to do it a few more times afterwards. I've now replaced it with an Elite. Here's a thread on it:

I dont know what the kits are like, it's a new heatsink pack IIRC.
