    AMD 2500+ XP-M vs AMD 3200+

well as the title states anyone gonna throw some ideas at me to which will provide me with the best overclocks ? or even if the 2600, 2800 mobiles are better than the 2500? think ive maxed out my 3200+ atm just becomes to unstable when overclocking atm even with my new 120.3 thermochill and RBX DD

AFAIK 3200+'s are locked so the only way to clock is to up the FSB (which is a standard 200MHZ anyway) but the XP-M is unlocked and you should be able to get an awesome clock from it on air as it'll run cooler too (lower voltage = less heat).

My XP-M 2500+ is currently running at 2255MHz due to mobo limitations (not brilliant for overclocking I don't think) but people with the same chip as me have been hitting 2500-2700MHz in a better board that can handle higher FSB's and higher core voltages.

Defo vote for the XP-M 2500+ here. Especially considering price!

You have an unlocked 3200?? Flog it and get an XP-M! Use the spare hundred or so to get something rather nice...

Damn wish i had a job, i would be very tempted to get one.....cept then i would have to get new RAM and graphics....one thing leads to another as they say...

And, yeah, lower voltage generally means more overclocking. Look at the pally xp1800. and the tbred xp1800....yes there is a change in technology, but the lower voltage keeps the tbred at much lower temperatures.
