    advice needed on upgrading mobo

    i have the biostar gf7050v-m7 mobo and a Go stepping q6600 (at stock)
    i mainly use my pc for games like mtw 2 and stalker clear sky
    should i upgrade my mobo to the p5ql so i can oc my q6600?

    Nope I wouldn't bother. 2.4GHz on a core 2 duo or quad is more than enough for gaming on. If your games are struggling look into getting a new graphics card, but with the card in your system you should be fine.

    Totally agree, you are probably not cpu limited in any game.

    Better off upgrading the whole system at a year or so when the new Intel platform matures and if you are not satisfied with your system's performance at the time.

    and yh i am statisfied so far with my pc so i gess there is no point upgrading
