How much should/could I sell my PC for?

Hi guys!!!

I know I've only just built this PC and its so beautifully beautiful and works amazing and all but I was thinking of selling it and was wondering what I should sell it for to someone who wouldn't want to build their own PC

The reasons for this are simply because :-

A) I'm strapped for cash and need to make a little profit.
B) I've just won an Inno3D 9800GT from the competition on Hexus and want to build possibly a small form factor PC around it.

The spec is as follows :-

Antec 300 (Which looks devine)
ASUS P5Q Pro
Q6600 (Stock)
Xigmatek 120MM Heatsink
Corsair 4GB XMS2 DDR2 PC6400 800Mhz memory (Stock)
Sapphire 4850 Non Reference Dual Slot
Corsair HX520w
DVDRW
2x Xigmatek Fans 120mm
Fan controller
Vibe-Fixer
640GB Western Digital HD

and thats it really!

But the 9800GT would be a step down for you, and you could probably make a greater profit simply selling the 9800GT.

Powder hound has a 2 very good points there!

Oh and that IChill is almost triple slot (at least looks that way from the photos in the Hexus review) so if you plan on SFF dont forget that you will be covering all your slots bar 1 which will either be the bottom one or the first one so motherboard selection could be very important.

You are never going to get back the value that you paid for your current system (and TBH if you're that strapped for cash you should never have built it in the first place). Sell the car, the missus, or something else.

I didn't really want to be selling the GFX card if I can help it as I won it and have a consience lol. Also, although its a step down from the 4850, it wouldn't really affect me much as I only have a 22" monitor.

lol if I did sell it for £700 say, I'd put most of it straight back into building another computer lol

I enjoyed it so much I am gagging to do it again lol

Well I reckon I could build that system for less than £600 and its unreasonable to expect somebody to pay more than about 10% on top for you building it so say £650 total if it was new take into account that its used so knock off £100 easily so £550 and then unless you find somebody who actually wants the spec you have built they are not going to be prepared to pay top money for it. So unless you can find somebody on ebay to buy it (and then you will be paying the sellers fees which I think are ~7% for computer goodies).

All in all it really is not going to be worth selling it.

You could always find somebody who wants a PC built and build it for them and make a profit on that?
