    System randomly powering off

    Hi,

My system for the last few months has been exhibiting a strange problem. Its powering off randomly approximately 3 times a week. I've done a clean install of Vista with the latest drivers etc. I've checked the temperatures everything is fine. I have a XClio 750W PSU and I'm wondering if it could be anything other than that before I replace it.

Look forward to hearing your suggestions.

    Many thanks!

What mobo/cpu/ram have you got? and do you overclock?
Whilst the PSU would seem the first place to look, they're not known for flakyness as far as I know.

    Re: System randomly powering off

Actually I think I've got to the bottom of it. I have RMClock installed and undervolt the CPU. I only use two FIDs with it the lowest one is the CPU's stock speed and then one above to overclock. Its actually only happening on the lower multiplier and so I think the voltage is too low for that FID. Although when I originally set it up I did test it carefully. I've increased the voltage by one increment and so I'll monitor it to see if it happens again.
