    LCD TV Repair?

I have a LCD TV, which I think has a failed power supply panel. Its a Philips 20PF4121/05

I have opened it up, found the power supply panel.. Also read on the internet, that the Philips TVs eat these ps boards up for fun!

The cheapest one I found is

    DAC12M019AOF-REV05 Pcb-Inverter+PSU 4x-CCFL Tube Connectors (Delta)

That is £70+ postage... TV however is worth around £160 brand new!

Just wandering is there anyone here who can take a look and see if the board is repairable? Or have any ideas as to what I could do?

Re: LCD TV Repair- replace lcd-adapter.com

Have you checked your adapter with a volt meter? You may need to replace it for cheap at lcd-adapter.com

    Re: LCD TV Repair?

I take it the TV's not under warranty (or have you voided it by checking to see what's wrong)?

What exactly is the problem with the board - simple case of a cap blowing or something to that effect, or has it overheated and is just narked? Is it noticeable by eye (ie post a picture)?
