    another upgrade ?

i'm not to shoure if i should upgrade my 3rd system, it's a
    amd 64 2ghz
    1 gig ram
    ati x800 256 (agp)
    dfi nf2 mainbaord.

this one is for my other sisters kid and yes he also wants to play warhammer:aoe, i have had this game running on this system and it works quite well to somepoint (like some times the game quits back to the server slection screen) do you think i can just get away with a new agp gfx card and 3 gig of memory or should i just go and get some new guts for it ?

    Re: another upgrade ?

Wouldn't bother with AGP upgrades if you can help it, or DDR tbh.

If you can pick up something cheap on fleabay then it might be worth it but £150 will give you a nice new setup.

    Intel E5200 ~£55
    G31 based mobo £35
    2GB ~£25
    8600GTS MSI ~£45 on ebuyer.

    Re: another upgrade ?

The only viable upgrade is the RAM on that system to 2GB, any other component upgrades will be bottlenecked by the rest of the components so not much point in slapping new hardware on such an old computer.
